You might have seen someone wearing one, you might have seen them on Bloomberg BNN, you might have one on your birthday or Christmas wish list.
What’s the deal with the Dow Jones hats?
It became trendy when one of the big market indexes was about to hit a nice BIG round number to get that put on a hat to show your support for the index, and since the Dow is around 26,000 now, the Dow 30,000 Hat is currently the most popular.
Originally every Dow hat out there was only the dad hat style, probably because only dads were interested in the stock market enough, especially in the Dow of all things lol, to want one of these hats.
And it’s like hey, I’m not a dad, I’m only 30, but I want to support these market indexes!
Anyone who invests at all, 401K, mutual funds, whatever it might be, whether you know it or not you want the Dow going up, up, up!
The Dow might be the oldest market index there is in America, seeming a little less trendy than the NASDAQ tech stocks, but the Dow is still the big boy, the most well known, the one we need to go to the moon!
Because I’m 30, and have totally mad style obviously, I didn’t want to wear a dad hat, so my friend and I came up with these 3D text, flat brim, dope hats for all the different Dow numbers.
The most popular is the Dow 30,000 Hat, but some people like to celebrate it’s previous big round number hit of 25,000 and we’re not here to discriminate, so we made a Dow 25,000 Hat too!
